I. Executive Summary

The fundamentals of the business are not different from any successful business. There are cost of capital, cost of operations, supply chain management, marketing strategy and the negative capital which causes most businesses to be unable to produce desired results. This is a business that caters to animals and children, particularly horses and teens. Our product is the horses and the fun filled activities which we have acquired. : As we grow, we will increase our product which should enhance the business making it more profitable for all to enjoy and foster health and mentorship to disadvantaged youth. Considering all of the horse facilities in the immediate area, we can proudly say that we are the only facility that offers services to children at no cost when the need presents itself to help a child focus on an activity to prevent them from entering the world of crime and gang activity. We are not concerned with business threats because we understand the concept of giving and receiving. With the support of the owners and sponsors that have provided for this program up until now, it cannot fail. The real customers of this program are the disadvantaged children, but because of the skills and professionalism provided by the owner and staff, horseback riding lessons and fun activities such as reunions, corporate picnics and parties will support the program and be used as a pillow for moving forward with the program.
THE KEY POINTS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED WITH YOUTH TODAY ARE:
" The lack of corrective behavior techniques which starts with the guardian
" The fact that youth between the age of 9 and 18 are left to raise themselves while their parents are either at work, on drugs or just lack the natural instincts for raising a moral, and ethical productive citizen
" Providing a comfortable living facility, proper nutrition and corrective behavior on an ongoing and consistent basis will prove to be effective in deterrent criminal behavior in youth
" A plan of this type can be beneficial to all of America. It will afford and open doors for behavior studies of young criminals at a young age and give them the chance of a life time to correct their behavior and avoid becoming a statistic of the criminal justice system.
" The plan will be monitored and evaluated through the juvenile justice division, the juvenile court system as to the number of repeat first time offenders that are awarded to this facility compared to the number of repeat offenders with other court appointed facilities as Youth Detention Centers.

The owners of this program are two very qualified individuals. Doris A. Mullins and Greg James have come together in mine body and soul to foster and environment where children and teens cannot wait to return to once they've had the experience. It is not just the fun that is provided to them, it is also the disposition of the
owners. They aroi8yu6t5tgb e kind but firm, passionate and fair. The character of these two individuals are non-less than the "six pillars of Character" Doris and Greg are trustworthy to one another and others, they do not cheat, deceive or steal. In fact, Doris is a certified police officer for 18 years, with a master's degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Leadership. Greg has always kept his word and feels convicted by what he says he will do. Respect is a word that Doris and Greg demonstrate with one another at all times, even when it is evident that they disagree, they respect one another's decision to act and are tolerant of one another's' differences knowing that their decision at the time is for the betterment of the program. Both Doris and Greg are Responsible because this programs success so far is evident of the responsibility of both. It has taken two years for them to accomplish what most people would have given up on in six months. They are fair, caring and their conviction to being law abiding and productive citizens of this country and state are worth sharing with young people whom are lost in the struggle of deciding which way to go.
The future of this business and program is very bright. This business will grow and be known all over the world as the business that help young people off the street and foster good law abiding productive citizens. It will be known by single struggling parents that feel destined to give their children up to the state without any hope of a bright future. The program owners are enthusiastic about helping young people but realize that the cost is a factor that must be dealt with to make the program grow. We look forward to opening other facilities using the same concepts and values as the mother program.
We hope to fund the program with grants and sponsors; however we are in need of startup cost to finish the build out of the barn and arena. The proposed cost of the barn is $30,000.00 which will cover the plans, materials and labor of building the barn. The arena will cost $5000.00 which will cover the plans, materials and labor of building the arena and bleaches for spectators. The completion of these build outs will ensure success of the program, and provide income for the program and repayment of any loans. There are prospects for leasing space in the barn which will generate income. The average cost to board a horse is $260 to $300 per month in this area. A 12 horse facility barn will provide 6 stalls for lease and 6 stalls for the program horses. Leasing 6 stalls at $300 per month will bring an income of $1800 per month. The leasing of boarding is only a small portion of income that the program itself will bring. Horseback riding lessons are currently costing $45 an hour. Doris currently have five students taking lessons with one of those being a disadvantage 16 year old female whom has changed her rebellious and delinquent behavior in order to be a part of the program. The mentorship that Doris is providing to this young lady is remarkable. Her mother and family members are forever grateful to the program.
The coordinator and inventor of this youth facility came from a very loving, strongly motivated and stern background. Past experiences with youth have proven to be rewarding, and successful. Many adults today are afraid of the average child that they passed on the streets. It is a tragedy for many young people when correction of their behavior based on fear is left uncorrected. How is a child to learn unless he/she is taught the correct way? How is a child to love, or to feel love, unless they are loved? Experiences have proven that most children welcome correction if given in the proper way. When a child feel loved through correction, most put aside the lack of training for that moment and show respect. Working in the law enforcement industry for over 18 years have afforded the opportunity to work first hand with children that commit crimes,
join gangs and act out against their parents, "unruly behavior" which sometimes warrant a combination of love and discipline.
Over the past 18 years, data that has been collected from youth encountered by police officers in Houston, Texas and in Georgia has prompted the immediate concern to finish this proposal in hopes to develop a facility for all children in need of supervision. Lack of supervision, lack of proper nutrition, lack of attention, lack of love, and many other aspects of life that we all look for to fulfill our daily lives are missing from children in need of supervision. Many children go days, weeks, months and even years without a simple hello, I love you and a smile but they are expected to return the same emotions to their peers and others. There are many children that go to bed at night without a simple good night, only to wake the next day to an empty house expected to prepare themselves for school. Children fail to realize the importance of nourishment and its effects on the body and the brain, after hours of fasting over night, these children attend school without food in their stomachs and without means to purchase lunch during the course of the day. These are the same children that act out and get arrested for unruly behavior and or crimes that they have committed. These are the same children that run-away from home and are returned to the same life style which fostered their unruly behavior. One might say that we cannot save the world, but we surely can put forth an effort to save our children because, they are our future.
