Sea Horse Ranch and Friendly Acres Horse Ranches have been in business over 40 years,
offering and giving a wonderful horseback riding adventure on the beautiful beaches of Half Moon Bay. Ride the over 7 miles of trails, thru the creek and along the bluffs of Sunset Beach down to the sandy sea shore..
Individuals or groups of 1 to 10 can come in anytime without reservations and always find a horse available for their first time ride or their 100th.
Groups of 10 or more should phone and RSVP.
Large groups are always welcome.
If you are calling between 7am and 9am you may get voice mail because we are saddling the horses.
Make reservations for family or company steak and chicken BBQ's. (call for rates, includes 1 1/2 hour beach ride).
Kids love to ride and they start riding their own horse from ages 5 and up.
We require that you wear long pants of some sort for your comfort and safety!

We have horses for beginner first time riders,
intermediate riders, to the advanced riders.
Over 150 horses and ponies.
On really hot, long, busy, days the 1-1/2 & 2 hour beach ride may be canceled after 5:00 pm and we will only have the 1 hour trail ride. Owners discretion.
Kids start riding at this ranch from ages five and up, on their own horses. Kids 5 years old & under can ride ponies in the pony arena at
our Freindly Acres Ranch ( one block north of Sea Horse).
No double riding.

We have a long list of rules but they are for your safety, the safety of others, and the safety of our
horses.
Horseback riding is considered a rugged adventure sport. Serious injury or death can happen at
times.
There is a very strick policy that you ride at your own risk, no matter what happens! Of
course suing is frawned upon. We are extremly sorry when someone is hurt.

$35 for 2 hour beach ride.

No Double Riding.
Walking, trotting and (on the beach only) slow galloping (cantering only) is permitted. BUT never
ever, full run or race your horses, AT ALL! This can be extremely dangerous and hazardous to
you, the horse,and all the others on the trail.
After you mount your horse, there are no refunds, all rides are approximate times, ( it depends
on the amount of trotting and cantering you do.)
There is no dismounting on the trail or switching horses with other riders.
Please do not "cowboy" your horse or show off. Stay alert at all times. Never over estimate
your
experience or ability.
Smoking, eating or drinking is not allowed on the trail. please do that before you mount your
horse.
Cell phones, cameras and Ipods are not allowed. We have found they can be far to distracting.
NO carry ons, i.e. back packs, purses, fanny packs, etc. Do not tie anything around your waist
or anything on the saddle, i.e. coats, sweat shirts. They always fall off. Please put them on before
you mount.
No shorts, or bathing suits, long pants required and no open toe shoes, like saddles or slippers.
Please obey our rules they are always for your saftey.
